Alpaca is a fine camalid fiber, a hair fiber actually, that is very soft. Blending a very Fine wool from Merino sheep adds some memory and body so your project won't continue to grow or stretch out of shape over time.

Even though it was designed specifically for socks, it also works beautifully for lightweight shawls. Reah Janise Kauffman has designed two versions of a beautiful shawl called Summer Leaves specifically for this yarn and Project Knitwell.

Targhee Yarn is a Fine wool, soft and elastic. Easy to knit, easy to wear, this worsted weight yarn is spun very evenly, has good body and fairly sturdy ply. Not a bit scratchy, it's a good yarn for toddlers, kids and grownup clothes, great for colorwork (small skeins so you can get multiple colors). Sue's favorite cowl yarn.

This is our second spin of a Targhee three-ply sock yarn. Pretty fine for our sock yarns, it still has lots of cushion for light weight hiking socks or a nice three season walking sock.
