Just in time for cooler weather. A beautiful addition to your sofa for naps or take along to a local winery, brewery, restaurant or your own backyard or balcony. This custom designed and woven throw is large enough to wrap up in but light enough to carry easily. Different twill patterns and variegated yarns make each of the 50 throws unique, but of a family. 100% wool from sheep in the Chesapeake Fibershed: 50% North Country Cheviot, 47% Romney and 3% mohair.
Primarily undyed white and natural color wool, about 15% of the fibers were dyed in the wool with weak acid dyes to create a variegated yarn that gives the throws such a distinctive and unique undulating pattern.
Woven by Peggy Hart of Bedfellows Blankets in Massachusetts on old industrial looms with 16 harnesses. Different twill patterns give the throws lovely drape.
