The Livestock Conservancy has an initiative to promote working with wool from their 22 sheep breeds on the Conservation Priority List. Simply use at least 4 ounces of wool from a rare breed in your project. You can use multiple wools in a single project. Receive coupons and gift certificates (from the Livestock Conservancy) after you finish projects using wool from 5, 10 and 15 different breeds.

Solitude Wool currently has yarn, roving and or washed fleece from 7 of the breeds. This program continues for three years, and we will look to add new products from the conservation list...check back every once in awhile.
